The area is renowned for its fertile soil and favourable climate, making it an ideal place for farming. The locals cultivate a variety of crops, including wheat, rice, cotton, and vegetables. With a growing number of farms pioneering in biodynamic agriculture, Sharqia is contributing to climate change mitigation efforts through initiatives like those of Karama farm which produces around 77 tons of compost.
